Membership

Wisdom Garden Academy offers annual membership. As a community, members can participate in regular and special online and in-person gatherings and socializing opportunities. Our members can access to online courses and lecture recordings made available for members. They have access to our growing library of original classical texts, translations, articles, and study guides. Members also get a member discount for certain individual courses and products.

  • Privilege to participate in study groups and to use case consultation service with our practitioners

  • Privilege to participate in Hawaii workshop retreat

  • Becoming a permanent member after 5 years of membership (see Clientes System below)

Fee

  • $360/year

  • Students discount (30%): Current students of East Asian medicine schools need to contact us with information regarding the name of your school and what year you are in for the discount prior to enrollment.

  • Membership fee is not refundable. Please read our philosophy and what we offer carefully and make sure that they resonate with you before singing up.

Clientes System: becoming a permanent member

When you maintain your member status continuously for five years without lapse, you become our Cliens, a permanent member.* You are no longer required to pay membership fee as a part of family in Wisdom Garden Academy.

“Clientes” is the term adopted from a Latin word that is much more meaningful than its English counterpart “clients”. Its singular form is “cliens”. In ancient Roma, a patronus and his/her clientes formed a strong bond in which they support, protect and help each other thriving as ally, companion, and mentor-mentees.

Clientes system is an expression of our desire to be a community, where we all help, support and love each other and learn and grow together. In this system, dedicated clientes can become a part of advisor and teaching team of the Academy.

* Permanent members will have their membership as long as Wisdom Garden Academy exists. In return, they are expected to maintain their good will towards Wisdom Garden Academy. We reserve our right to discontinue their membership when members use their membership in engaging harmful actions towards Wisdom Garden Academy and its community.
