A Letter from the Founder:
Dear friends and colleagues,
Wisdom Garden Academy began five years ago in Hawaii as a small online learning community. Over time, it has grown and evolved. I am deeply grateful for the support and encouragement from our East Asian Medicine community. This year the academy is undergoing significant changes and I am excited to share them with you as we enter our next chapter.
A Return to Portland & In-Person Teaching
Missing the energy of the classroom, I recently relocated back to Portland, Oregon. My goal is to offer more face-to-face learning opportunities, starting with our new four-module in-person Jingfang (經方) course. You can explore the curriculum and our other upcoming offerings on our Courses page.
New Lifetime Membership Model
To make our community more accessible, I am transitioning the Academy’s membership from an annual subscription to a one-time fee for permanent access. To celebrate, we are offering a Spring Special: join for a one-time fee of $120, available until April 10th.
Online Courses
We will continue to offer online courses for our members combining live zoom sessions and pre-recorded video lectures. These are typically held during the Spring and Fall terms. Our next online series, Shang Han Lun, course begins April 11th. This course explores disease patterns, formula structures and their clinical application through the perspective of Qi, Blood, and Water.
Digital Library & Archives: A Quality Evolution
For last five years educational materials and lecture videos have been housed in our digital library. As we prepare for this new phase, I am personally re-evaluating our entire archive to ensure the highest standards of quality and clinical relevance. To facilitate this, lecture videos have been temporarily taken down for re-examination. This process allows us to update production quality and ensure all material reflects the latest insights and best practices. While some legacy content will be permanently retired, it will make way for new, refined recordings in the near future.
New Clinical Practice
I am also pleased to announce that I have opened a new clinical practice in Southwest Portland and am currently welcoming new patients. You can find my practice details on our Clinic page. If you have patients or colleagues in the area who might benefit from my care, I would be honored to receive your referrals.
